Patrick Casabona Jr. was a kind, loving twenty-six year old man who left us far too soon.  He cherished everything life offered him and always shared it with those around him. Music, sports, beautiful sunsets, and most of all…people. He loved traveling with his family and especially loved visiting Montauk’s sandy beaches and beautiful sunsets which he shared with those around him. 

Patrick always had a way of making everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room. One of Patrick’s best qualities was his ability to love his friends so unconditionally, they became extended family. Patrick was the first person many of them called if they needed a hand, wanted some comfort or just to share a movie, dinner, ballgame or some music. His infectious warmth and jovial spirit inspired not only the people closest to him but those whom he just met. 

As a student of Somers and 1999 graduate of Somers High School, Patrick never restricted himself to one specific activity. He thrived on its outstanding education, sports, marching band and choir programs…active in it all and thankful for the experiences it gave him. His support and guidance from the faculty aided in his continued education where he received his undergraduate and MBA from St. John’s University.

To honor Patrick, family and friends have established "The Patrick Casabona Jr. Memorial Scholarship". The mission is to preserve the memory of this loving son, brother, uncle and friend who touched the lives of so many by giving back to the school he cared for so deeply.
